How to Throw the Ultimate Super Bowl Party for the Girls

3–4 minutes

This is my second annual Super Bowl party, and after last year’s success, I knew I had to go all out again! Whether you’re the friend who actually watches football or the one who only tunes in for the halftime show (or let’s be real, the snacks), this is the perfect excuse to throw a fun get-together.

One way to make it extra special? A Super Bowl x Galentine’s Day mashup! Picture this: classic game-day foods like wings and nachos, but with girly desserts like pink frosted cookies, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a festive cocktail. It’s the best of both worlds—sports and sparkle, touchdowns and tequila, field goals and fun.

To keep everyone engaged (yes, even the ones who don’t know a single player’s name), I made Super Bowl Bingo cards! We’ll get into that below, but trust me, it’s a game-changer. If you’re thinking of hosting a Super Bowl party for the girls, here’s everything you need to pull it off!

Set the Vibe

Football-themed? Cute and girly? Why not both? You can mix team colors with pink and red accents for a fun Super Bowl x Galentine’s aesthetic. Think: heart-shaped balloons, football-themed plates, a cute grazing board, and a cozy couch setup for prime game-watching.

Snacks: Game Day Meets Girls’ Night

Food is the real MVP of any Super Bowl party. You need the classics—wings, dips, sliders—but adding a girly touch makes it even better. Some fun ideas:

  • A snack board with team-colored candies and popcorn
  • Chocolate-covered strawberries decorated like footballs
  • A dessert bar with brownies, cupcakes, and pink frosted cookies

Super Bowl Bingo (For the Fans and the Commercial Watchers)

Some of us are watching for the plays, and some of us are just here for halftime. Either way, Super Bowl Bingo makes the night way more fun! The squares include things like:

  • “Celebrity spotted in a commercial”
  • “A coach throws his headset”
  • “A touchdown dance”
  • “Someone mispronounces a player’s name”

Whether you’re following every play or just waiting for a meme-worthy moment, this keeps everyone entertained. Want to play along? Download my Super Bowl Bingo template here!

Dress Code: Sporty, Cozy, or Extra?

Encourage the girls to show up in whatever fits their vibe:

  • Game-day chic (oversized jerseys, leggings, and cute sneakers)
  • Cozy queen (sweats, a team hoodie, and fuzzy socks)
  • Extra, but make it football (a mini skirt, glam makeup, and team colors)

Or just pink-themed for the girls!

Halftime Show = The Real Main Event

Let’s be real—the halftime show is a moment. Before it starts, make sure drinks are refilled, snacks are restocked, and everyone is in prime position to watch. If you really want to make it fun, rate the performance after or turn it into a little halftime dance party.

Friendly Bets (Because Why Not?)

If your group loves a little friendly competition, set up a Super Bowl betting pool with fun, low-stakes prizes. Even if you don’t know much about football, you can still guess things like:

  • Which team will score first
  • What song Kendrick Lamar will open with
  • How many celebrity sightings there will be
  • Whether there will be a commercial that makes us all cry

Prizes can be something simple like a Starbucks gift card, a bottle of wine, or even bragging rights until next year’s party.

Hosting a Super Bowl party for the girls is all about making it fun, inclusive, and a little extra. Whether you’re here for the game, the food, the halftime show, or just the vibes, it’s the perfect excuse to get together, eat good food, and have a blast.
